1990 EZGO Marathon is faster in reverse.
I have a 1990 EZGO Marathon that goes faster in reverse than forward. I have swapped the S1 and S2 cables at the motor with the same results. What could I be overlooking?

The potentiometer has a speed reduction feature.
2 wires from the pot go to the reverse micro switch (ms) on the pot. When these wires are connected to each other (forming a loop) by the reverse ms the pot signal output is reduced by 50%. If these wires are connected to the wrong terminals you could get forward reduced speed. To test this theory find the wires and disconnect one... |

I tried pulling the wire(s) at the reverse micro switch and even swapped them and it is still the same as before.
