2006 TXT - Will not charge
Hello all, new to the site and hope to learn a lot from everyone.
My apologies if there is a thread for this already. I currently have an issue with a 36v cart. 2 weeks ago I charged as normal, used the cart to the point where my 2 battery indicator lights were flashing back and forth. I plugged it in to the charger and NOTHING. I noticed the charge port was in bad shape so I ordered a new one and installed. Also installed a new charger plug. Still nothing. I then tried a known good charger and still nothing. I assume since the cart has enough juice to operate still that there’s enough juice to kick the charger on. I really am lost here. Pretty much a newbie with electric carts. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: 2006 TXT - Will not charge
What voltage do you have at the battery pack? Do you have the same voltage at the charge receptacle?
You generally don’t want to run the batteries that low ever, but that’s a separate issue. |

Quote:
on your txt charger port and dc cord set there is a signal pin(aux contact) that basically tells the charger it is plugged in and turns a relay on inside the charger. you stated you replaced the charge port on the cart. you will need to make sure that the negative contact point in the charge port is not covered by an insulator. If its is you will need to remove it, be sure to disconnect the charge port wires from the battery pack first, before doing anything involving the port. after you remove it, reconnect charge port to battery pack and test with charger. I hope this helps. Phil |
