Default Is there a Battery Fluid Fill Tool

I have four 12v Trojan batteries. The cart will get weekend use in the spring, summer and fall. What should I expect in terms of how often I will have to check and fill the batteries.

I found the hydro systems and I’m considering it but a couple hundred seems like it’s frivolous for the task.

I was thinking of using a turkey Baster but is there some magic single cell use tool that cuts off the water delivery when filled properly?

You don’t want the auto system... it’s problematic

This is what I use and I love it... I was using the ‘turkey baster’ method

Don’t get a watering system! They always malfunction and ruin batteries. I have one of these but I never use it: Auto Shut Off 2 Quart Capacity Plastic Battery Filler Battery Filler Auto Shut Off 2 Quart Cap. Plastic https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DKBPSTE..._YQMRDbH6X7G3S

I just forget it’s there. I usually use a baster or a dollar tree watering can.

I’m guessing you’re up north somewhere cuz you don’t do winters but the amount of maintenance required is going to depend on usage, charging habits and temperatures

I check mine once a week but only have to top them off once or twice a month and I’m in the south Texas heat

When its time to add water I just pop a hole in the lid of an empty 16 or 20 oz plastic water bottle. Works good with very little spillage.

I use a hand siphon like the one in the link below. One end into the gallon of distilled water and I squirt the other end into each cell and fill up to proper level. I check my batteries every 2 weeks because I use and charge my cart everyday.

I keep my cart(s!) in a garage and check them every week or two. They rarely need water at all, even in Georgia heat. The family cart in a covered carport needs water weekly, but those are older batteries.

I swear when my Crowns were new they didn't use water for the first couple of years. Now that they are 5 plus years its a lot more frequent but thankfully to this day the battery connections have remained completely corrosion free with very little fluid found on top of the batteries.
