Default Need help with controller

OK, I am converting to a 48v system and was gonna switch everything over today but the wiring diagrams dont add up. Mine has the white, black and blue wires running to the 3 little post, but in the 650A Axe controller diagram it shows red and orange wires. I dont have those colors other than the ones attatching the pot box and the selanoid. Also, when I ordered the controller it asked if I had four large terminals and if I did it meant I had a plug brake in it, well it had 4 terminals but nothing I can find says which one is for the plug brake. I am sort of lost, you guys have saved me before, time to hopefully do so again. Many thanks in advance. Ok one more question, I ordered a 500A controller and the one I recieved says on a sticker on the front that it is a 500A, but on the end, like a manufacturer sticker says it is a 650A. Any ideas?

The A2 terminal is for plug braking. Plug braking uses the motor and controller to slow down (similar to regen but without any benefit to batteries) and those two components are a bit more expensive than brake shoes. You can program the AXE to disable plug braking. Your call.

Seems Alltrax spotted you a deal. They may not have had a 4855 w/plug braking (A2 terminal) on the shelf or someone at Alltrax mis-labeled the controller. I'd believe the mfr tag, but a call to Alltrax w/ serial # is the best bet as Radical suggested.

As far as wiring, color shouldn't matter as long a wire gauge is properly sized and connections are as per diagram.

Good luck!

Thanks, I am a little better off than last night , but still not sure about some things. Ok the blue, black and white wires in the first pic, what are they and which terminal do they go to on the alltrax. I beleive the white and black come from the fnr switch through the potentiometer, but the blue I have no idea what that little box is above the pot.

Marathon controller cart right?

Pin 1 is blue wire from potentiometer micro switch, Pin 2 is black from potentiometer and Pin 3 is white from potentiometer. Pin 4 is not used on Marathon.

HIH!

Not gonna swear but, likely ..... that the blue wire powers up the controller and white and black wires bring the throttle signal from the pot.... Trace them out & test them until you are sure
