Default 18x8.5-8 GTW Topspin Sawtooth

Hello all:

I need to get a pair of new tires with rims for an EZ-GO electric TXT.
I found a good price on some new 18x8.5-8 GTW Topspin Sawtooth tires but I never heard of that brand, and from the description the way they say street and golf course use, and the tread pattern, it looks like they might be made more for the street than a lawn. I like the price but I don't want them to tear up my yard.

Does anybody know anything about how these tires would be on grass compared to other brands?

Thank you in advance.

Do you have a photo of them?

I would look at what our site sponsor Golf Cart Tire Supply has to offer. They have lots of wheel/tire combos at great prices.

usgicollector: thank you. My granddaughters come for an occasional visit and that's the only time the cart gets used so I'm trying not to spend too much on the tires (or anything else) because of the limited use. Top of the line tires are not necessary for this use, but thank you for your response.

Mooncarter: The GTW Topspin tire picture you asked for is attached.
The site sponsor has a Carlisle tire/wheel combo for only a little higher cost than the GTW. I would try to patronize them if I can, but still curious about the tire I first saw because the tread looks like my car tires that would wreck the lawn.

That tread design shown is a typical turf type tire used on golf courses. It will not harm your lawn. It is also fine for pavement use.

I would like to clarify what I said above. ANY tire can tear up a yard. Wet conditions and/or driver behavior can tear up the best of turf.

Our local golf car shops around here give away tires and rims they take off of carts to install them fancy aluminum rims on. Many are brand new. Guy tried to load my truck up last time I was there buying batteries. If you don't mind stock, try your nearest shop for some cheap tires. A friend got four free for his as well not long ago. They had lots of them.
