Default lack of power

i charged up the cart today and was driving it around. all out of nowhere the thing had little power?? it wont spin the tires wet grass when it could spin them on dry grass be for. i checked all the terminals and battery's all seams to be good. could the motor going out??

it is a 1990 and was used for a work buggy at a campground. i get 38-39 and about 6.3-6.8 on each battery have not done a load test on them yet. thanks for any input

how would i go about finding out if i have a bad battery? or should i go and get all new ones? i don't know how old they are, they are Trojan and some are swollen!

You can do a load test by hooking your voltmeter to the batteries and then driving and then tellus what the voltage is doing while driving. You can tell the age of batteries by olloking at the battery post the year will be the # on the post anfd the month corrisponds withe the letter.

i think i found the problem!! i put new 4 gage wires on the battery's and it's a hole lot better. now I'm gonna make some for the controller and motor! thanks for all the help!!!

still don't have any power! i put my volt meter on it and drove it around it's setting still and the lowest i got it to go 35 and that was going up a good incline. i charge it up over night and the next day it did not have any power and the battery meter on the cart goes down half way when i drive it! could it be the controller??

sounds like bad batts, i believe i heard on here that pack should never get below 36, 36 is considered dead, if i am correct, think i have a batt chart, lemme look!!

That's to determine state of charge at rest, not under load. 35V under load is actually quite good. My old batteries are getting down to 33V under heavy load..
