36 Volt EZGO
I have a 1997 36 volt EZGO. How do I make it go faster?

Re: 36 Volt EZGO
That kinda depends on what drive system you have? Series. PDS. or DCS?

Re: 36 Volt EZGO
Will be either series or DCS.
DCS will have a Run/Tow switch on controller cover. |

Re: 36 Volt EZGO
More voltage and a way to deliver more amps to the motor. Check out the Alltrax NCX/DCX models of controllers for shunt wound systems.
A word of caution: Make absolutely positive on a DCS cart that you switch the Run/Tow Maint. switch to Tow/Maint before doing ANY WORK on the cart. The DCS carts have been known to blow the controller quite easily via any, emphasis on any, stray voltage/current. |

Re: 36 Volt EZGO
I think they tend to blow controllers if drawn down to a low voltage situation as well

Re: 36 Volt EZGO
A small amount of speed can be had with bigger back tires.Sorry for the first post I couldn't help myself.
Speed is not cheap. You will learn in the long run money spent on these things is just the beginning of it. Also be carefull about how much speed too! To much can cost you also. I know. |
