Default F&R Switch Heating Up

Got a 2003 36V EzGo. I noticed an electrical heating smell while driving around on my farm. Started checking and burned my finger on a bottom nut on F&R switch. I checked the connections and they all look and feel tight. Can someone give me some direction to go in?

Thanks, DW

PS, The dealer I bought this cart from put 1 or 2 Switches on it while it was
"under warranty". I had to pay for another one. Seems I may have more than just a switch problem.

did you install a new high amp controller? if you did you need new hi=amp switch& 4ga welding cable,s but would recommend rewireing entire assy so that positive output from relay goes to a-1 terminal on motor &run m#1 from controller thru switch instead of positive the same way clubcar does it!! then your switch will never smoke again!! good luck seem,s confusing &takes alot off work to do this try lookin on alltrax website for diagrams ezgo does thing,s the stupid way lol

Man you went way over my head. I went to alltrax and printed the info. you are talking about (I think). I haven't installed a controller and I don't know what is installed. I'll check this afternoon when I get home. Thanks for the info. I just need to get in front of the cart to digest it.
