What if you did use non distilled water?
I did not use distilled water the last time I filled the batteries.
Should I: a) dump out water and add new acid and distilled water b) dump out a little and add distilled water c) Dont worry about it this time, but swear never to do it again d) Do all of the above and Kick my own ***? thanks Spots |

I would answer "C". The answer is always "C". No but seriously, I wouldnt worry about it this time. I've used the garden hose for years without a problem and have just recently decided to start using the distilled water.

d I've never used distilled, but my batteries usually go dead from sitting in the warehouse to long. Don't think you need to worry, but it is good practice to use distilled.

The answer could be C, but depends on the quality of your water.

Water quality has a lot to do with it. We use tap water on our fleet and still get 4-5 yrs from a set of TROJANS.

Re: What if you did use non distilled water?
It will be ok I am sure but the reason for using the distilled is because the minerals can build up and cause the batteries plates to short out .
