How do I fix my burned up cart?
Hi all, I have an 84 Ezgo 3 wheel electric cart that I give $500 for and was hoping it would make it through the 2009 camping season at the campground. Well to make a long story short, while driving it one of the cables running from the coils to the accelerator assembly was rubbing on the motor, shorted out and burned in half. I then tried to drive the cart back to the campsite and was getting large sparks from the solenoid area. I bought a new cable, replaced it and the cart will not move. It did appear that the battery cable running to the first battery was getting very hot. This is where I set currently. Can you guys help me here?

Check the battery pack voltage.
Clean all the cables and make sure you have good, clean contact with the batteries. Check for correct replacement of the cable. Check the voltage to the solenoid both in and out. |
