Charger question on the extra 12v.
Weather permitting, I plan on working on my oldie tomorrow. I'm one that had brake cables melting etc. I have 82 ezgo converted to controller(48-72v), W/R hd 48 solenoid, pb-6, 4 ga wiring. I have installed an emp 2 speed motor but have a total of 2-3 seconds run time on it. I only checked that motor worked when I installed, thus it has no road time, only jackstand, and that was with motor jumped.
I'm sure I will have questions again tomorrow but for now I need some opinions/facts about my 12v charger. I charge the 36v pack with old original 36v Lester and it still works great. I charge the extra 12v with a 12v schmaqcher quick charger. The charger will show voltage of batteries and also the % of charge. It was reading 13.8 or 13.9v(can't remember, late martini time) but was only showing 74% chargered. I unplugged charger for approx. 15 min. replugged and it showed 13.1 v and batteries 100% charged. Is this charger fried??? I didn't take a voltage reading with VM due to rain. More questions tomorrow. Mike |
