Skipping Ez-go
I bought an 95 electric ez-go and after I charged the batteries I tried to drive it. It will start off and then start skipping? I checked the hubs on both sides but it does not appear that the axles are spinning in the hubs. It sounds like something slipping. Is there some kind of clutch in the rearend? I will be greatful for any ideas.

Re: Skipping Ez-go
almost always the problem is a worn brake drum.... before you go any further, I would highly recommend taking tire off and pulling the drum, and seeing if the threads around axle(on the drum) are gone...
to answer your question, there really is not a clutch in the rear end, its all gears... |
