Default Bushings

I got my cart back from dealer who fixed the rack and pinion thingy.

the delivery guy said that I needed bushings on all 4 corners of the cart. 2 per axle? Is this an easy part to replace? Anyone know what the part number is? He told me that I needed 2 per corner and that they are important and that was why I was hearing clicking noises when I turn. it is the metal clicking against metal.

My cart is a 1997 ego electric.

thanks in advance

I dont know what they are called. On the bottom of the cart are these bendy metal strips that go the length of the cart. They bow upwards towards the ends. The ends have a hollow tubular shape thru which a bolt goes thro to afix it to the body. Supposedly there is a bushing that goes around the bolts. Are we on the same page?

Another thought is that the metal is bow shaped, so does that mean if I undo the bolt, it will straighten out like a spring and be very difficult to exert the force necessary to get it back to the bow shape?

If it's the bushing in the leaf spring, my question is why wouldn't the dealer replace them for you, they are a easy to install and they are cheap!!

You are describing a leaf spring and they are bowed to the shape you see. They will not unspring and be difficult to reattach. My cart has 20 bushings and 4 needed replacement so ask your dealer which ones he meant. I don't blame the dealer for not replacing the bushings without your approval. They do cost money and time.

I'm not saying anything bad!! But is all it takes is a call from them before they deliver it, and say hey do you want these bushings changed before we deliver. Rather than deliver it and say that you should do it. It would of been a nice phone call!!!

A friend of mine just got his mower serviced at the dealer he bought it from. 2 yrs. old, got it back and 2 cuts later it slings the blade belts. Take it back, they charge 100 bucks more "Labor added"... WTF? They just serviced it, 120 bucks. I was Pissed, They could have look,,,,,,,,,,, I mean: He was pissed... They could have replaced the bad belts when they serviced it... Why Deliver something to someone and tell them their stuff isn't right???
Jus' Sayin'...
