2003 Workhorse 1000E

I just got a 2003 Workhorse 1000E that I am refurbishing. My biggest problem is the front axle is bent and needs replacing. Based upon this thread and my review of the parts manual it appears that the axle is OEM#70963. Can someone confirm this for me?

Also, I was thinking of buying the heavy duty front end that is for sale here (http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/golf-...tml#post234656) but based upon the posts it appears it would be a bear to use. Can someone enlighten me on how difficult this would be? I don't mind a little work, but I don't want to screw it up either.

That axle will bolt up to you cart.

Thanks for the help. I will probably just go the easy route and replace it with that axle.

Sorry, I'm confused. Were you referring to the heavy duty axle?

Not sure if it will fit, but I have a stock front axle for a 99 workhorse if you want to go the cheap route... Taters.

make sure you replace the front leafs, (heavy duty 2 or 3 leafs)
