Question 2001 EZ-GO PDS - Won't run!!!!

Ok Guys.....I'm stumped. I have a 2001 PDS. Batteries are fully charged, each battery is putting out 6.4 volts, combined they are putting out 38.4 volts. I drove it around the farm the other day and it worked fine. Brought it to the house and it sat for about 2 hours. Went out to drive it again and nothing. I can put it in reverse a get the backup signal, but it won't go, either in reverse or forward. So I thought it might need charging, so I charged it and it ran fine. Then it started acting up again. Drove it out to work on the fence, it sat for about a hour and a half, did the samething, nothing. I pushed it back to the house and checked the batteries, they are ok. I cleaned the wires and posts. Still nothing. So where do I start? I put it into diagnostic mode and it gave me three beep right off the bat but nothing after that.

When it won't go do you hear the solenoid click? Do you hear it click when it does run?

I hear a small click when I press the pedal and it doesn't go, and I hear a louder click when it does go. Should you be able to hear the difference?

Okay... I went out in the garage and thought I would give it another try. Stepped on the pedal and out I went like nothing ever happened. Drove it around for about 10 minutes and parked it back in the garage. Went out later to take it out.....nothing. THIS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!! Sorry.

So the clicking sound I hear when it doesn't run is the micro switch under the floorboard. Where is the solenoid located? How do you test it? Help me out, I don't look good bald, but if I keep pulling my hair out... Oh well! I guess I can buy a new ball cap.

Alright... Got some additional information here. I don't know what it means but I'll throw it out there and you guys can tell me.

I pulled the rubber mat up and acessed the box that holds the micro switch and ITS. I checked the voltage going to the micro switch. Here are the results:

Red & Green wires disconnected from micro switch:

With Tow/Run switch in RUN position:

KEY OFF
F= 0.00 volts
N= 0.00 volts
R= 0.00 volts

KEY ON
F= 38.1 volts
N= 0.00 volts
R= 37.4 volts

With Tow/Run switch in TOW position:

KEY OFF - F= 0.00 volts
N= 0.00 volts
R= 0.00 volts

KEY ON - F= 0.02 volts
N= 0.00 volts
R= 00.0 volts

Red and Green wires connected to micro switch:

Acceleration pedal at rest: 38.1 volts

Acceleration pedal depressed: 0.00 volts

Does that help anybody figure this out?

It is under the environmental cover which protects the controller from water and has the run tow switch on it....

Be sure to put the switch in TOW position BEFORE you do and work on the cart

If that is not the problem then we will get you the proper test sequence for the throttle position indicator system (ITS)

BE SURE TO flip the RUN/TOW switch to TOW before doing any ANY electrical work on the cart.
