93' Electric - Click but NO Go!
I have 93' EZ GO Electric 36V. Problem started a week ago when depressing accelerator, cart would hesitate and then jump forward. Now cart will not move at all.
Batteries were very much in need of charging but put charger on and only showed about 5 amps on charger meter (normally would register about 18-20 amps when batteries were low and charger plugged in). Have TexTron charger with windup 10 hour timer. Checked SG of batteries and they need charging. Checked charger output at end of plug and registered about 42V. All batteries showed 6V+, no indication of any bad cells, total at terminal receptical end reads 36.8V. When depressing accelerator I hear a click, cart starts to go forward for mini-second and then nothing. Could it have anything to do with the F & R switch? I am in Florida and of course it is a very humid and rust producing invironment. Should I try to charge each battery individually? Tell me where to start! |

Re: 93' Electric - Click but NO Go!
SOunds like you checked your batteries out pretty good. But at 36.8 the pack is near empty ( 50% discharged) a full pack would be 38 point something volts.
Maybe the charger recepticle , wires, or connections are corroded? The pack needs to be charged up before you can determine why it won't go? |

I'm going to say the batteries are dead. Put a meter on them and see what it does when you try and go. I bet they drop off quickly and that's why you have a no run sitiation.
