1997 DCS value

Have found a 1997 DCS , very good condition. Tires look new, seat clean, body good. Needs new batteries and windshield. They are asking $1500 as is, which is way too high ( I think). Was going to offer $800, since it will need 6 new Trojan T 105 and a windshield. They say it ran well before the batteries died, but I have no verifiaction. Am I in the ballpark? Color is green with white top, comes with charger.

Don't know your location, but in my neck of the woods a sparky with no batteries that someone says "was running when it had them" goes for no more than $500.

I would find 3 used 12v batteries, charge them up and confirm the thing runs and then the negotiations can start. Price for a nice running 97 cart where I am with old batteries (needing new ones) and no windshield, lights, horn signals etc. is around $600-$800. 2005-2006 can be had for $1800.
