2000 TXT.. Noisy motor
My 2000 TXT motor seems to have a unusualy loud whine while running. It runs great. Just wondering if this is a sign of the motor going bad. Any opinions?

Re: 2000 TXT.. Noisy motor
I checked the manual specs and it said use 30wt. I'm surprised, the electric uses gear oil. It probably (30w) has more sling. My opinion, any oil is better than no oil...
Check the manuals out. Go to the home page,,,EZ GO gas. click on gas tech. Everything you need is probably in there. Please ask questions..We would be really bored with no questions. If it's not the rear end, the timing belt may whine. I'm not sure exactly??. Let us know... And welcome to the forum I was so surprised about the 30w that I checked it again, and it is 30w. I think I was mistaken. I just noticed this is in the electric section. I was referring to a gas. Sorry

Re: 2000 TXT.. Noisy motor
more than likely you have a bad bearin gin the motor on the brush end. it takes longer to remove and reinstall the motor than to replace that bearing.
That bearing is located right behind the brushes so it gets full of the brush dust and goes bad. that bearing is sealed and cost about 12.00. you can do this yourself. there is no need to take it to a shop. yea, This is my 100 post. |
