Default radio fit in ball holder

Hello, I am new here and glad I found this site. I have a 04 ezgo 36v, I am installing radio in ball holder. I cut out the back wall only, go to put radio in and back of radio hits cowl of golf cart. Before I trim to much off, how to I get the radio to fit all the way in. Thanks for any help

Heard this before and I think the solution was to buy a shorter radio or relocate to another position. Try a thread search and maybe you can find it.

some use a marine cover to bring out the radio.

Ok I must admit, I need more help than I can give. The radio was noy hitting the cowl . The metal housing at the front edge of radio was hitting the ball holder edge,trimmed that edge and it fit like a glove...thanks
