I just bought 06 exgo electric, faster ?

Got home went around the block, kids tell me its slower then there friends. How/what can I do to make it a little faster? With out breaking the bank, please.

I don't know much about these - but my understanding is that you can add a chip to it - they are not supposed to be much.

Depends what model you have, is the FNR switch on the dash (PDS) or below the seat under driver's right knee (TXT Fleet)?
An inexpensive speed chip is available for the PDS. The TXT is another matter.

I found that if you upgrade the cables, you'll gain a bit of speed... but it may be my head messing with me. It does that alot.

The first upgrade I would make to a cart would be 4ga welding cables. The upgraded cables will help on a hill to maintain speed but as far as top speed goes, I'm not so sure unless the old cables are shot. It's an 06 so even the 6ga stock cables should be OK if you bought it from a dealer. If you bought it privately, maybe clean and tighten the cables may get a little more speed out of the cart.
