Default installing battery life gauge

Hello,
I have a ezgo 2006 36v 6 battery 3 caps per battery.

Where do the wires go from gauge?

Is the "battery life gage" and the "state of charge meter" the same thing? The SOC meter is the red LED thing that goes in the dash. There are two wires.
If it is indeed a battery life gage, I would need a diagram to help you out. How many wires?? 18 or so?

Here is info on a stock gauge set-up for a PDS car :

#1 red wire on the meter goes
to the first batt in the pack (POS terminal).

That is battery 1 in the below chart (fig D).

#2 Black wire on meter goes at the end of the
pack on NEG terminal (battery 6 on chart).

#4 terminal on meter needs a jumper wire over to switch as shown.

That will get you 36 volt and installed to factory specs.
Check with a meter to be safe. ALSO, if you have a run/tow switch;
flip to TOW before doing any electric work.

Would it be safe to say that if you connected the state of charge meter wires (2) to the same place the big wires from the charger go on the battery posts that you would be in the right place?
