upgrade controller
I have a 1998 ezgo DCS, Ihave changed batteries with new ones put new cables on it. After all this it would run about a mile and shut down, cool a little bit and go until it heated up again. I bought another controller replaced it does the samething, I am thinking I will have to upgrade the controller to a 400 amp. It is a stock cart. Any thoughts are apreciated.

I would replace the solenoid before chasing another controller.

Re: upgrade controller
yes it was, everyone tells me it is my driving habits because I ride the grandkids around the neighborhood and I drive slow most of the time. It is on gravel roads with a few hills.

Re: upgrade controller
My experience points me straight to the rebuilt controller as the culprit. Buy an Alltrax controller and you will be done with the issue.

Re: upgrade controller
Sorry man. No one likes to spend $$$ these days, myself included. Ya just can't skimp on certain things if you want to do it right. It's usually cheaper in the long run....
