Picked up 2 97 DCS carts for $425 about a month ago. I've ordered just about everything I need to rebuild the white one and finally made some progress this weekend. Stripped it all down and knocked the rust off the frame and freshened the paint.

Great work. What do you suggest for getting rid of rust? I need to do all this to my 87 I just picked up. Lots of rust

Sandblast. The only way to do a complete job. Also great prep for any repair or modification welding that is required. Paint will adhere properly after too.

What dundeebarnbuggy said. I sanded and used my grinder on what I could get to, mostly it was surface rust and I figured what I did should give me 5-10 worry free years and I don't plan on keeping this cart that long.

Thanks Scottyb of course most of my parts came from you!

I decided to copy what Hotcat done to his cart and added some blue headlights and clear taillights. I also made some small fender flares (not pictured) for the front and moved my F/R switch down below the seat where some carts have them so I could use the space for my light switch for the LED light bar.

Remove old stock steering wheel that had a clip for score card and replaced with new steering wheel.

Also installed rear arm rest with cup holders.

I ordered a new FSIP speed motor for testing. This motor will fit the TXT48 and DCS, & PDS carts that have been converted to 48v
