Default alltrax controller

I just got my new 400 DCX controller, for my 1998 ezgo DCS cart. the controller was putting out a nummber 7 trouble code which is over voltage the voltage was 38.2. The rep. where I bought it said to try to run the cart moved maybe an inch now nothing no light green or red. Do I need to go to radio shack get a cable and try to program the controller. the supplier is closed until monday. So any help would be appreciated

NO, you shouldn't have to reprogram it unless someone set the voltage to low on the over voltage setting. It shouldn't be that way from the factory. If there is no light at all there may be other issues.

That is what the rep from the company told me, they may have set it to low, He told me to try the cart it moved a little then nothing no light on the controller, but my volt gauge on the dash stays on even with the run tow switch off

My DCS does that every once in while. I'm running a DCX 400 at 48 volts. It seems to flash 7 times if I do a short charge and dont let it finish charging till it get to a float charge.
