I have a 05 pds and use it at a campground ,we have paved roads but some very steep hills ,does someone make a controller you can change torque speed settings from a dash switch?

Do yourself a favor and simply get a programmable Alltrax 500 amp and make the switch to 48 volts.

I've never heard of a way to change controller options on a PDS without first switching to Tow/Maintenance.
I guess you could re-route the Run/Tow-Maintenance switch to the dash and then use the switchable controller option that can be found via a search here. Cumbersome is the word that comes to my mind. |

Re: Is there a way to change conroller speed and torque on pds
Welcome to the forum!
I had planned to wire the speed chip to a set of 2 switches and extend the run/tow switch wires out to the dash. Since our carts are rentals, I really can't do it. Liability issues...(My personal cart is gas). I am still considering the same modification on the controller cover. Just install the two switches to open the jumpers on the chip. The golfers don't look under the seat and wouldn't notice...? You would be able to raise the seat put it in tow, change the switch settings and put back in run. You would adjust the chip to your desired "program". Not knowing the voltage or amps of the jumpers, run/tow switch (if any) I didn't want to extend the small gage wires too far and have a fire or cook the controller. I'll do it on the cover some day, I bought the switches |
