Upgrading cables
OK First off. I'm a Newbie and don't know squat about these carts, but am trying to restore one. The mechanical side I can figure it out
Electrical, is another story. 2 questions: I'm gonna upgrade the batt cables. . Which cables do I replace? When I look under the seat, OMG, there are cables everywhere I know I have to change the batt-to-batt cables, but what about all the other ones. Controller has wires coming off, f-n-r also. there's wires everywhere. Could someone give me a detailed listing/location of every wire/cable that has to be changed. I am putting a EMP 2-speed set-up on it for now but maybe a 400-500 controller down the road The cables will be free, so I was wondering what gauge should I put 2 or 4? 97 txt ezgo 36v |

Re: Upgrading cables
4 gauge is all you need. 2 gauge is useless on anything other than high voltage/high amp applications. You need to replace ALL of the cables. If you don't, your not doing a bit of good.
