New Motor/Controller
I am wanting to upgrade my 2001 EZ Go with a new Series motor and 500a controller, who is the best supplier for this?
Also, do I need to upgrade the solenoid AND fnr switch, or will just the solenoid handle it. I will upgrade all the cables to 4 guage also. Thanks |

Re: New Motor/Controller
I got my 502:1 dd motor and Altrax controller from Scott at Radical Carts. They are one of the sites sponsors. You shouldn't have to upgrade the FNR switch since the controller handles the major amps to the motor. You will need to upgrade the solenoid, I would suggest the MZJ-400. You should get everything together in one kit. Also, the manufacturer of the controller suggested that you would be best served to run 2guage wire to and from the motor from the controller to handle the extra heat and 4 guages between the bats. I made these upgrades and the performance is great.

Re: New Motor/Controller
What is wrong with your stock motor? What modifications have already been done? We do alot of upgrades for BGW members. You can check our online catalog for what you need, as well...

Re: New Motor/Controller
MMT - Nothing wrong with the current motor, just wanting to increase it's performance. No lift kit yet, still have not decided if I will lift it. The only option it has is 10" chrome wheels with street type tires. The cart came from EZ GO with the 2+2 rear seat option and 80" factory top.
