Default Ez Go Textron 26984

As you can see, my relay got a bit hot and melted! I have replaced a few bad wires inside the charger. Can I bypass the relay by joining the wires? I have read in other posts that this will disable the auto shut off feature. Will bypassing allow the charger to charger?

Thanks!

If one were to jump those 2 wires the charger would come on but it won't shut off automatically.

Thanks. The amp meter will go down as the batts near being fully charged with the relay bypassed right? The relay circuit board is only involved in the auto shut off and not the amps drawn right?

Just buy a control board. That is the easiest and safest bet.

You know of a cheap vendor. The one I found wanted 80 bucks. Expensive and could be a gamble if there are other issues. When I use the cart it is at my vacation trailer. Its plugged in at night and used first thing in the morning. Usually takes 8 plus hours to charge so I should be good!

So, you'll be asleep when the fire starts? That's a great reason to save $80.

Good luck with that.

That is what insurance is for...

Replacing parts on an old unit is asking for trouble too. Just trying to keep it going until I find a used one cheap or save for a new one!

Update....

Thanks for everyone's help. I have removed the circuit board with the bad relay. I have ordered another relay for 6 bucks. Until it arrives I have bypassed the relay and found that the charger does work and puts out 41.5 volts and no amps (its not hooked up to my cart yet).
