No Go E-Z-Go
First post and novice cart owner.
Have a 1995 EZGO that will not run...micro switch under floor replaced by repair shop in May...ran until Labor Day...driver side rear brake seized, thought cart was not moving due to this...repaired brake issue (new shoes and cables)...still no go. Solenoid clicks when power turned on, reverse buzzer sounds when in reverse...cart just will not move at all. Ideas? |

No, I'm getting nothing at the motor so I'm sure it's electrical not mechanical.

Re: No Go E-Z-Go
You're saying "jump" from large post to large post, correct? I do have a replacement solenoid but it is laid out different than the one on the cart. The one on the cart has the posts on the sides; the replacement has them on the bottom. Can I use the replacement I have and if so how do I know I have the cables/wires connected correctly? There are no markings on the new solenoid.

OK. I bypassed/jumped the solenoid (large post to large post) with same result....nothing. Any one have any other ideas?

Kenny
I am reading this gathering info for a similar problem & your reply earlier has me confused. You had said earlier that you put a jumper across the large terminals on the solenoid & still had your problem. It seems to me that the jumper should have bypassed the solenoid & had you in the run mode all the time & you should have run at that time. Then you replaced the solenoid & everything was OK. This don't make sense to me. Am I reading something wrong here? |

Re: No Go E-Z-Go
It is exactly as described....I don't really understand it either.....the cart would not run when I jumped (bypassed) the solenoid; however, it ran fine after I replaced the solenoid.
