Default 1998 EZ Go I.T.S./Microswitch adjustment

Just purchased a 1998 EZ go that had a buggies unlimited torque kit added. When you switch on the key the solenoid engages. When you push on the accelerator the solenoid first disengages and then the further you push down the solenoid reengages and the cart runs fine. Is there an adjustment on the outside or do I need to pull the floormat and adjust under there. It seems like if there was a stop so the accelerator pedal would not come up so far it would accomplish what I need. Thanks for any help.

UNder the floor, where the micro-switch is. There is a collar threaded onto the accelerator rod. It can be adjusted to change the timing of the micro activation. There is a set screw in the collar you loosen that and the collar is hex shaped so you turn it with a wrench....

Definately sounds like something is off. Possibly the microswitch arm is bent? I don't think I hsve ever had to adjust a throttle plunger - fyi...

I had one cart that was jerky at low speed and the micro was firing late.... I suppose you could try to adjust the throttle link first ?

Plunger on ITS was too short. Microswitch cam was traveling too far back and letting switch reengage. Adjusted about 2 rounds and is working fine now. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Always nice to hear an 'end report'

Now I wonder how it got that way? Glad you're rolling again

I scratched my head on the one I did too? wonder if cable stretch is a factor? No. How about peddle stop wear?

Right... No cables, pretty cut and dry system. Maybe the cart was high centered and something bent? A head scratcher for sure...
