TXT rearend oil change help
Greetings all, got my first cart about a month ago and have been going over it making sure all is good. I would like to change the oil in the rear, I see a drain plug on the very bottom of the cover, it faces straight down, but I do not see a way to put the new oil back in. Also how about synthetic oil? My cart is a 04 TXT...

Re: TXT rearend oil change help
you remove the pan to drain. remove the plug and fill until oil run out. it only hold like 1/4 qt. most bearing are sealed, so only the gears need little oil to help cooling.

Re: TXT rearend oil change help
I went to pep boys & got a pump that is used to fill out board motors. Screwed it on the bottle of oil. Used the floor jack & jacked up the right side, inserted the small hose & pumped untill I noticed a bit starting to come out of the fill hole. To empty I used a pump from TSC stuck the pump in & sucked out the old stuff.
Hope this helps |

Re: TXT rearend oil change help
I'm doing this too. Is there a certain weight oil you use?
