Default cart wont hold charge for more than 4 hours.

my cart which is an ez go txt 36 volt will charge all night long and then in the morning will run like regular but after about 3=4 hours of running it at about half the speed just cruzing. it will start to die out and feel like its arching somewhere. i replaced all the wires and had the problem go away and now its back after 3 weeks...batteries are 1 year old....

WELCOME TO BGW !!!!!
Sounds like you may have a battery problem.....Run time is about 90 minutes according to the manufacture..... That is actual pushing on the peddle time.
Under normal use your cart should recharge in about 6-8 hours....all night sounds like a 12 hr charge? Everytime? If that is the case then you may have a bad battery..... a simple voltage and specific gravity test may tell the tale. Do you have a voltmeter and hydrometer....? If so post your test results here. I assume all of your batteries are have water in them? Connections are all clean & tight? ....and your operation of the cart is limited to no more than 50% draw down of the pack as shown in the attached chart.

A trojan 105 set of batteries should do at least 60 minutes under a load of 75 amps. Any less and you have a problem. As already said a hydrometer test may find a faulty battery. Sounds like a battery is holding on for a while then giving up. Another test you could do is run the buggy till it gets low/the fault occurs. Then put a volt meter on each of the batteies one at a time, drive off and record what each battery voltage drops to. If the lowest reading is more than 0.5volts lower than others in the pack its likely you have found the faulty battery. Hope this helps.
