Default No High Gear

I have an older (pre 88 ) EZ Go Electric, It runs but goes quite slow. I have checked Batteries, after charge only 36.1 volts, all 6 batts. within .1 of 6.1V.
Checked motor for continuity as per instructions.
I am suspecting the batteries, will check under load tomorrow.
Any help welcome.
Thanks

Welcome to BGW.

36.1 volts is DEAD. This very well could be the problem. Also check to make sure the throttle is working right. (make sure its going all the way to the last contact on the wiper board.)

Thanks, It is the Batts. Any reports on Sams Club Batteries ($65) seem to be the cheapest. The summer heat in AZ seems to fry the Batts. in 3 to 4 years no matter which brand. Any suggestions?

I will be needing new batteries next year and will likely buy the Energizers from Sams. They are 40% less than Trojans and I could be talked into believing Trojans are better batteries but not twice as good.
Quite a few members have been running these without issue, $430 vs $750 seems like a no brainer to me.
