Default Why would I need a lift for 22" tires?

I'm fixing to put some 10" wheels and 22" tires on my PDS. There is a huge space between the stock tires and the fender wells. Why would I need a lift for must 2 more radius inches of tires, I know I have more than 5" now between the stock tires and the cart body now, so why would I need a lift just for 2 more inches?

Because they will rub.

I tried it once, when I had my tires before the lift, and they didn't fit. It was years ago now but I think the back tires wouldn't even clear the fenders.

What year of cart? 2001 up could use the mid rise lift from EZGO - It's a cool lift, but I'm thinking 20" tires?

On uneven ground with the wheels turned the fronts will rub.

The cart in the pic looks as though it has 10" rims and somewhat of a lift, can't tell for sure without better pics.

I would load the cart up with 800# of weight and then measure your clearances.
I have tons of clearance on mine as well but when I climb a rounded curb with 400# in the front seat I have a small contact with the front fender. My wheels are 205/50-10 on 10" ITP wheels.

No, the cart in the pic is stock with exception of the home made shackles I fabbed for the back just to make up for the weight of the rear seat assembly. I lifted the back only 1" for that.

And what about lifting the PDS? Did I read that you weren't supposed to do it?

And if I have to go with a lift kit for the 10" ITP rims and 22" AT tires, what should I use?

4" lift?

Spindle or axle lift?

What are the beneficial and disadvantageous to each?

Remember, this is for a 2007 PDS cart.

I'm getting serious about this upgrade now and ready to order something. I can't find all of the post that I was commenting on now for the information that seems to address some of my questions, so if you guys would help an old guy out, I'd greatly appreciate it.
