Default Little Help for 2 Sweet old Marathons

Expanding my horizions, have 2 old marathons, one 3 wheel have had over ten years as a work cart, has gotten little or no care in ten years and has never let me down. The other is a 4 wheel little body damage bought not running but pretty good shape. The 3wh is a 93 controller cart the 4wh is a 94 controller. Both are in need of batts and I am considering upgrade both to 4 ga.I make my own cables and in the past have been using copper crip ends and shrink tube no soder. Is there a more perferred end to use, thought I,d seen something about a steel/tin end and how do we feel about soder or not?The 3 will continue as the work cart and the 4 is going to be a camp ground cruzer. What if any improvement will I see with no more than a 4ga upgrade on 36 volt cart?My limited experience is cc48v and gassers.Thanx Dave

You may not see any seat of the pants improvements worth mentioning....... not unless the existing cables are badly corroded... You may see a slight improvement in torque.... silver soldered ends with an airtight sealant is my prefered method of attaching a copper end to the copper cable. The new cables will help reduce heat from resistance ....... Whether you crimp or solder

Crimping with the proper tool is a acceptable method. Soldering is not generally recommended in automotive applications. Soldering "can" cause stiffening and strand breakage due to vibration. In the real world of carts it probably doesn't matter.
