How did you check your batteries / What method ?

When did you check the batteries / Before or after charging / Time after charging ?

How old are the batteries / Date code ?

This sounds like you may have older batteries that do not hold a charge for long and while they may appear good, I'm betting your expectations may be beyond your batteries current (no pun intended) capabilities.

Let us know the answers to these questions and let's see if we can help.

There are numerous threads available via the search funtion on how to test your batteries.

Good luck,

K9

FWIW my cart is a '92 Marathon and it went 10 mph and slowed on hills with 4 ga wires and new batteries. About $1500.00 later it goes 17 mph and climbs hills much better.

All I can add to what has been said is a 1994 ezgo is an all metal Marathon cart ... one heavy SOG. THey will slow on the hills that is what they all did

Cool Re: ezgo help?!?!

Well at work we have a batt test kit, it tells volts and stored volts. it will let you know if you have 6 volts (+ or -) and if you press down and it tells you the stored volts (+ or -). They all read 6 and +6 volts and when checking the total of all batts it read 36 volts. The age is 2 years of installed use, ? shelf time. I am just looking to check all that I should before I drop $600+ on new batts.
Thanks for the help!!

$1500.00 was a guess because I don't really want to know (-:

Alltrax AXE 4844 programmable controller
7 new batteries for 42v
4ga wires
D and D 170-01-01 motor
Delta Quiq 48 digital charger set for 42v
20"X10"X8" tires
HD front and rear springs w/ spacer blocks for tire rub clearance

Jim

Some jokers have said it looks like a mini Pope mobile.
