Default I have a question about my 98' EZGO TXT Series Cart

I'll keep this short and simple. I have a 1998 EZGO TXT fleet series cart (does not have a run/tow switch). It will run much faster in reverse than in forward. I am also getting a burning smell after riding it hard for a while. Does that sound like a burned up controller?

Check the wires on your F/R switch. You could also have a worn F/R causing the problem...

It's a series cart - you should look at the F/R assembly in front of the controller. I'm also seeing some home made cables? Make sure they have been properly crimped!

Upon further inspection, I saw that a wire has gotten so hot that it has melted the housing on the bottom of the controller.

How do I know which controller I have now so I can replace it with a larger amp one?
