96 36 volt charging trouble
My 96 ezgo got new batteries last may. One moening last week when I was leaving for work I heard a constant beeeeeep sound coming from my shop. I went in to check it out and it was my cart. I was running late so I switched the run/tow switch to tow and the beep stopped. A few days later I hooked up the charger but it won't come on and the cart is dead. Anyone shed any light on this? Thanks Brian

Re: 96 36 volt charging trouble
Start with some voltage readings from the pack as a whole and from each individual battery.

Re: 96 36 volt charging trouble
You will need to use a 12v charger and charge two at a time to bring them up. You can do this on the cart by connecting the charger to the positive on one battery and the negative on the next battery in series. Prior to bringing them back up make sure they have water covering about 1/8 inch over the plates.

Just out of curiosity, did you remember to switch the tow/run switch back to run?

Re: 96 36 volt charging trouble
DO NOT let the batteries sit discharged for any length of time. It will sulfate the plates = permanently diminished useful life ....
