Take the lights to a switch. You will use the positive of one battery and the negative of the next battery in series to get 12 volts. Do not ground anything to the frame.

Lights have two connections. One should be black & the other is red. From the ground of one battery run a wire to each of these black connections. That gives the ground to everything. From the positive side of two batteries over you will have 12VDC. Run a wire from it to an inline fuse. Then to the toggle switch. Out the other side of the toggle switch to the red wire of the lights. Ross

All the switch does is brake the power to the lights. Pull it out, lets power to lights push in, brakes power to lights. One screw is hot all the time the other screw is hot when lights are on.

This is how my 84 ezgo 36V is wired, use a meter to make sure you have 12V before you hook up the lights,--see if this helps ![]()
