What's this??

I removed motor tonight getting ready for the EMP, even though it will be two weeks, and I noticed this.....I have no idea what it is. Maybe some kind of putty used to balance the armature>>>

Yep you could say that, if you were to remove the core and look at the other side you would see something like that as well. It is used just for that to balance out the motor.
