Post Install Stereo in dash or on roof mount contained console?

Hello fellow carters! I was wondering about whether to install a stereo in the dash my cart and mount the speakers under the seat facing forward or should I purchase an all in one unit that sits up on the roof? I am open to other ideas. Thanks!

If you put it up high, plan ahead for the wiring. You'll have to go down through the roof supports.

i have the overhead console and am very pleased with it so far. i did not install it, came on the cart. just a thought about speakers down under your seat, seems you would have to turn it up pretty loud to overcome road noise or just any cart noises. the overhead option i think would produce enough sound for you to hear when driving at a decent level so as not to have everybody within 100 yards hearing it. now it is not to say i can't crank it pretty good too, just i don't have to have it so loud as to everyone in the county has to hear it when i am riding. just my 2cents good luck

can't give specifics exactly because the cart is not here right now.i have a jensen setup that has jensen speakers i believe they are three ways.sound quality is great for me and with the built in amp and equilizer it does a good job. bass......i have heard more with subs but for just a console overhead it works. putting the speakers under the seat alone is not going to give you more bass i would'nt think unless you enclosed them somehow. if you want more specifics PM me later this afternoon an d i will give them to you.

I installed my stereo in the dash and the 6x9s under the seat with 1 inch spacers. I get really good sound out of the two speakers. See my pics for what it looks like.

This is what I did. Its a Pyle Marine grade mp3/usb/sd head unit...no cd's, all my music on mp3 anyway makes it easier than carrying around cd's. The pods hold 6.5" speakers. The company offers several different styles of these. (very sturdy even off road..no rattle or vibration) speakers are MTX marine 6.5"..(the angle is good..shoots right up at you) sounds good but would sound even better with higher end equipment.
