Diode and resistor are linked to pack VOLTAGE not controller AMPERAGE. Your old ones will be fine on 36 volts with a new controller.

Re: ? about alltrax controller prog vs non
I think in the end a non programmable controller of say 400amps will ultimately deliver the same 400 amps that a programmable model will. You can slow or choke the programmable model but you cannot boost it....
Lets wait and hear what the experts have to say on this.... I have done some side by side tests on this.... |

Goofy, I have never tested the difference, but if you don't think you ever want to "tweak" the setting parameters, then don't bother with the AXE unit and get the non-programmable one. I would guess they performance would be the same.

Re: ? about alltrax controller prog vs non
You might go to the alltrax website and download the controller pro software
(it is a tiny file) Then you can see what the options are, and whether or not you want to be able to tweak them. |

Re: ? about alltrax controller prog vs non
I took 2 identical carts one with a 650 AXE set to 100% throttle set to inductive (fastest I think) and ran it next to a 450 non programmable controller from Logisystems. Both carts were conversions running 36v motors on 48v Identical yr and tires etc, GPS within .5 mph the same and the 650 being only a bit faster off the line... hope this helps.....
