Off road ezgo
Just got her finished with the help of this site and my buddy Tony. It's a 2005 PDS with the speed, mild and steep hill chips. Four inch drop spindle lift, 10 inch rims with 22 inch Duro's. We've upgraded all the wires to 4 gauge, installed Trojan T-105's, and installed a 2000lb winch. I have added the gun racks all the baskets, brush guard and back seat. I havce really enjoyed the project and I have enjoyed reading the forum daily. My next step will be to install a 400 or 500 amp controller and possibly new springs and shocks.

Looks good, what kind of winch did you install on the front of it?

Chicago Tools 2000 lb. It was only 60.00 bucks alot cheaper than the Mile Marker I run on my four wheeler. Ive got a buddy who runs a 3000 lb by Chicago Tools and he hasn't burnt it up yet.

You're running the winch with 36/48V?

Re: Off road ezgo
Cool, was just curious. I purchased one from Harbor Freight a couple months ago, waiting to install it on the right cart.
Most of these little winches run on a 12V power supply, put in a reducer and good to go, or just tap off of two batts. |

Re: Off road ezgo
I'm thinking when under load, that winch will pull some amps. Can a reducer (afffordable) handle the amp demand. I have one installed on a Foreman ATV and it works great but a little slow.

Looks good! Is your winch mounted to the front brush guard? If so can I ask where you bought it, I have been looking for one like that. Also where did you get the gun rack and roof rack, they look sharp.

Ive used it twice so far under load with no issues and I have it hooked up between the
3rd and 4th battery. |
