Re: Will I see much difference in a 500a from a 400a controller?
only if you have a really big motor and trying to climb a really big hill. The reality of it is, it takes alot for a controller to even see 400 amps....and do you know how long it sees that amp.........1 millisecond, so its not very long.

I guess I'll go with the 400a controller since I'm only using a stock motor.
Thanks -ed |

Re: Will I see much difference in a 500a from a 400a controller?
On second thought, I'm planning on upgrading the motor later on. I want the alltrax 500a AXE controller:
http://www.alltraxinc.com/Products_AXE.html The 4855 model. Will this work on my 36V stock golf cart? It's a series TXT model. Thanks -ed |

Re: Will I see much difference in a 500a from a 400a controller?
on a series cart we have only used 650 amps and a advance dc 7/11 motor
now on a PDS cart we can see the difference between the 400,500,600 amp controllers on stock motors |

Re: Will I see much difference in a 500a from a 400a controller?
the controller will work. You could put a 1000 amp controller on it, wouldnt make a difference.
On a 7/11 motor I use a 400 amp controller and never had a problem, all customers really happy with performance. |

Re: Will I see much difference in a 500a from a 400a controller?
400 amp will satisfy 95% of most users. More amps can = more performance, BUT can also = more problems and melt downs
