Re: Basic Ezgo electric golf cart wiring
"Topic moved from another thread"
Margaret, you will probably get more input if you post a topic in the forum, instead of on this thread.... most people won't look at this too often.. ideas: Broken cables on your speed controller, batteries, motor, or f/r switch Bad f/r switch bad speed controller bad potentiometer bad solenoid bad motor low battery voltage/bad battery first try running your car for a few inches with the charger plugged in, if that works you probably need batteries...you could also use a voltmeter or a battery tester to test voltage in batteries... if you have a voltmeter you can trace your positive voltage... B+ to; solenoid battery side; then solenoid controller side; then into speed controller; then out of speed controller... Make sure the connections on your f/r board are not burnt, or broken.. (where the 4 big cables go to it)... look at both sides of board and make sure it isn't burnt... potentiometer needs an ohm test on the two wires coming out of it, to make sure its going from 5k to 0 ohms... or maybe its 0 to 5k (i never remember that).. motor is a tricky thing to really test..... pray it isn't that.. |
