Exclamation Pds or dcs

What is the difference between a PDS and DCS ezgo.
How can I tell what mine is .
The year is 95 medalist the F/R switch is below the seat.
I want to change the motor and speed control because my golfcart runs slow

Sounds like you have the standard "fleet" cart, does it have a tow/run toggle switch on the controller cover ?

You have a DCS. If it has a rocker switch on the dash it is PDS, if it has an FNR lever below the seat it is DCS

I think you are wrong kid, the under the knee F-n-R switch would have been used on the DCS and Fleet carts and the only way to tell the difference is the toggle switch on the controller cover, plus someone said above that the DCS wasn't made in '95.

Ok, well that is how I recognize them. If it has a tow/run switch then it IS PDS. Correct?

Ezgo made the DCS carts from 95-99. They have a run/tow switch on the controller cover and most have the F/R switch like a series cart.On a series cart the F/R lever is hooked to a rod, attached to the contact assembly, located on the right side of the cart below the controller. The DCS has the F/R switch behind the lever.
