Default 36V switch to 48V...

Is this expensive and difficult to change a 2006 ezgo from 36v to 48v? What all does this entail? Thanks for any help...

Expensive- yes, Difficult- no.

Batteries- depends if going to 8 volts or adding two 6 volts, new controller, 48 volt solenoid, New cables/wires, probably heavy duty f/r switch.

VERY helpful guys thank you! I am looking for an old cart and figured if I'm gonna replace batteries and such I may as well upgrade. Do I want a TXT or a PDS?

TXT with PDS brother. PDS is not a model of a cart, but more of a feature. (Precision Drive System). The TXT is the #1 best selling golf cart in America according to Textron. You decide. I am also looking to upgrade, I figure if I get a new, upgraded motor, as well as everything else, it's about $1000.

Stick with the Series carts. A Txt Series cart is perfect or a CC Series cart will work Not a PDS or DCS but a Series cart..... A TXT can have a DCS, PDS, or Series system

Hope this helps

All plastic bodied EZ-Go carts are TXT's, Gas OR Electric. Except of course for the newer RXV carts, but let's not confuse the issue any worse than it is......
