Default My EMP LR 5.0 arrived today!!!

Only challenge I see is the location to mount the F&R switch. I have 2 3/8" clearance between the body and the batteries. The switch is 2 7/8" deep. I think I am going to have to mount it on the driver side of the cart underneath the charger port. I dont like that location, but I dont know where else to put it.

Any ideas?

So I guess you are going to move your F/R switch, from where your factory one is now----over in the right hand corner????

No. Going to leave it in place and install the new one for the two speed motor. After putting two of the three kids to bed and looking at it a little longer, I think I can sneak it about 6 inches left of the current one and mount it as high as possible. The way I got it figured it should just clear the top of the battery if I mount it high enough. The only possible problem is operating the switch when the seat is in place. The seat may interfere with the switch, but I think I got enough clearance there also. I will post some pictures when I get it done.

buddy48, I don't remember who it was (my very large bad), but he mounted his on the driver's side of the rear body so his left hand could just reach down naturally and move it. This had all sorts of room and was very convenient, if you can accept the look.

Okay I got the switch installed. Put it right where I wanted it. It was very tight. When it is in either speed or torque mode it barely, I mean barely, touches the battery. I did have to get the belt sander and put an angle on the back of the handle so it would clear the seat. I had to slide the middle battery back in under the switch and put the battery I took out back in the middle.

ScottyB, yes it is in my 36v txt. I hope to get the motor installed tomorrow. And yes I bought the CC F&R switch for it. I ordered it with the motor.

See pics!!

Keep us posted. I wouldn't feel comfortable bouncing along with that battery almost touching the movable part of that F&R .....
