Default 97 EZGO Curtis controller

Are there any repairable connections inside the Curtis controller of a 97 ezgo. My sister's cart starts and stops randomly, so I put it on the lift and checked "ALL" the the connections and voltage readings. It ran perfectly. I tapped (beat) on the controller, last night, after consulting with Mr. Coors, and it stopped running. Tap it again and it starts back. It acts like a loose connection inside the controller but I have never removed one before.
Solenoid voltage always reads 38.1. All external connections are good.
Any reccomendations?
And also, Thanks Scotty and Mike for the tip about the micro-switch in the floor board. The arm had poped off. That took care of the solenoid that wouldn't cut off problem.

I have never been into one of those controllers, but there are a few places that will rebuild them.

Is it possible that your "tapping" is affecting the solenoid rather than the controller?

No, the solenoid always has voltage across the main terminals when the pedal is depressed. If the cart stops running there is still voltage present.
