Default No power

I was backing my cart up and then I wanted to go forward. I pressed the pedal and nothing. The battery indicator was on full. I did check all the batteries with a multi meter and all were in 6.x range. One battery had some corrosion and the cable broke off. Could this lead to a power loss?

Welcome to BGW !!!!!!
Lemme get this right ...... it's an electric cart that runs on 6 batteries connected in series and one of the battery cables has broken off? Your question is? '...will this cause a power loss?'
Yes any one of battery cables corroded to a breaking point will cause a power loss..... You should prolly check and / or replace all the rest of the cable ends

It seems your battery indicator is connected by smaller wires to your battery pack showing a full state but the cable that is broken off your battery will prevent your battery pack to be used as it should to move your cart/power loss. The connection is broken just like pulling a plug or hitting a switch.

Scuba you can have all the cable connected as in your diagrams ...... and read 36v without being connected to the solenoid or motor neg......... so the meter reading means little...

It did to him... as in his post in red above. He was confused as to why his meter read full yet he had no power. I'm assuming he didn't realize that it means little when his cable is broken. I answered his post based on his input.

Here is what I said trying to explain why he saw a full battery indicator yet had no power:
